What is a Place?

More than coordinates on a map. 

More than the space it occupies.

More than its buildings or a single history. 

Place is continuously shaped by the people

who inhabit it, just as it shapes them. 

Each of us experiences only a part - our

memories, fears, dreams, histories, and 

perspectives accumulating alongside

countless others. 

The Place is an ongoing experiment

in making some of that invisible

landscape visible. 

Contributions from The Place will become a book, future exhibitions, and new iterations of the project
